Jacquelyn Louise Bingham
January 7, 1947 – August 8, 2025
It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of Jacquelyn “Jackie” Louise Bingham, 78, of Monrovia, Maryland, on August 8, 2025.
Born on January 7, 1947, to the late Jack Karl De Perini and Mildred Louise De Perini, Jackie was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, wife, and friend. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Lee Tokley and her wife, Tara Tokley, and Kathleen Marie Lloveras and her husband, Pepe Luque; her granddaughters, Megan Luque and Melissa Luque; and her sisters, Jo Ann Kisner and Karla Marie Bynaker. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Terry Lee Bingham.
As the owner and heart of Patches Quilting & Sewing in Mt. Airy, Maryland, she didn’t just sell fabric and notions; she built a community and created a gathering place filled with warmth, laughter, and encouragement. Jackie loved teaching her craft, sharing her knowledge with patience and kindness, and celebrating every stitch of her students’ progress. Many walked through her shop doors as customers and left as lifelong friends.
Jackie faced the past year with grace and determination after a brave battle with a rare disease called AL amyloidosis. Her strength, optimism, and humor never wavered, even in the hardest moments.
She will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held at Linganore Winecellars on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from noon to 3 p.m., where family and friends can come together to share stories, laughter, and the warmth she gave so freely.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy will live on in every quilt she inspired, every student she taught, and every heart she touched.
