Jump into short-form improv! This is a drop-in friendly 3-week workshop!
Thing fast, have fun, and laugh hard! This summer, come play with us at the Monongalia Arts Center in a high-energy workshop focused entirely on short form improv - the fast-paced, game based style made popular by shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Each session will be packed with easy-to-learn games that build confidence, creativity, and collaboration. Whether you're brand new to improv or looking to brush up skills, you'll have a blast. And it's drop-in friendly -- come to one, two or all three sessions!
No experience needed, just bring your sense of humor and a willingness to try! We can't wait to laugh the summer away with you.
We are pleased to welcome our special guest instructor Kunal Mahajan who will be visiting us from Pittsburgh. Kunal sits on the Board of Directors at Arcade Comedy Theater, Pittsburgh's only non-profit comedy theater, and has been part of several short form and long form imrpov teams over the years both in performing in shows and producing shows. Originally trained at the Uprights Citizen Brigade (UCB) and Magnet Theater in New York City, he is happy to be bringing the joys of improvisation to his hometown where he grew up - right here in Morgantown WV!
Dates: Thursdays, June 26, July 3, and July 10. Time: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
But all three sessions for $65 or 1 session for $25. We require a minimum of 6 students for each class.
