‘Koncert for Kat’
Kat Deeds was so excited to cross the pond to attend Laurel Cove Music Festival. Unfortunately she took a tumble, broke both ankles, and was stuck in the hospital while the rest of us danced in the rain.
After her surgery the doctors said she wouldn’t be clear to fly home to England as scheduled, so she’s enjoying some ‘unscheduled’ down time in Kentucky.
Kat is the co-founder of KD Music Media and co-founder of For the Love of Appalachia. She has been working with Lance Rogers to bring our local musicians to England. The last tour was in February 2025, with Lance, Hunter Flynn Music, and Daniel Cain.
(The next ‘For the Love of Appalachia’ tour will be late August/early September 2025 with Brennan Edwards and Cody Lee Meece heading across the pond.)
Lance and I decided to put together a fundraiser for Kat to help pay for her surgery and medical bills.
The The Stargazer Lounge in Morehead, KY has graciously offered to host this event next Friday on June 27th. We have 7 artists donating their time!
