What some may call yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice aimed at cultivating a sense of peace and relaxation in the mind and body. Students lay on their backs in “savasana” for a 75-minute guided meditation closing with a crystal bowl sound bath.
The goal is to drop in between the state of wakefulness and sleep. Yoga Nidra was first mentioned in the Upanishads (the oldest sacred scriptures), explained as one of the four states of consciousness. This practice of tapping into the subconscious can help relieve chronic tension in the body and anxiety in the mind. The subconscious holds the essence of our true self. Tap into your full potential and hold space for yourself to relax!
