Happy Friday to our community! We are back this Sunday in our new Lilydale Lake Community Room location! Thank you for your patience.
We are a volunteer run and lead project and operate independently. Repairers use their own tools to fix your stuff.
Where: Lilydale Lake Community Room (building directly above the playground)
When: 1st Sunday of the month except for September (14th) & November (9th) of the month due to events e.g.: Father's Day
Why: Keep precious items out of landfill and in use for longer
*Reduce consumerism & repair costs and & to transfer repair skills to users
What: Repair of a wide variety of household items from a genius repair team who use their own tools and equipment to help you.
Cost: We seek a donation to cover material and other project costs. Cash and tap and pay machine available. Please support us.
We are part of the International Repair Cafe movement which started in Amsterdam. We log all repairs as data to lobby the EU.
Repairs available:
#Old and new electrical items- 5 men on the team ready to fix
#Fabric and clothing repairs with machines and by hand (please unpick the zip and provide buttons/materials for your garment)
#Computers, digital hardware and software diagnosis and repairs
#Jewellery repairs- not gold or silver
#Mechanical items- lawnmowers, drills, saws and more
# Bicycle repairs
#Soldering jobs with a hand machine (smaller items)
#Many other repair skills in the team, please post a photo of your item or bring it down to be looked at
#We have two tag and test machines and check all items pre and post repair to ensure they are safe to use.
