Justin, who is one of the strongest and sweetest humans I know. He's gone through and overcome a lot of challenges in life during his 36 years, and the most recent one has changed his life forever.

He was admitted to the hospital on 2/3/25 in Fargo, ND where he had symptoms that were almost flu-like. They ran many tests and still were unsure of what the issue was. They discovered that both his liver and kidneys weren't functioning properly and his condition was getting worse. They transferred him to the U of M Hospital in Minneapolis on 2/8/25 and continued to do more testing to eliminate certain possible diseases/illnesses. His liver/kidney function wasn't getting better and they said he may have to have a liver transplant. He was put on dialysis to help with his kidney function. They tested for a possible Wilson's Disease, but this has yet to be confirmed.

He was put on the liver transplant list on 2/14/25 and with a high MELD score he was high on the list. On 2/15/25 they had a donor for him and he had surgery on 2/16/25. From the moment I saw him in the hospital on 2/10/25, he was in such good spirits and positive energy. This is something that I admire so much about him and his ability to see the good. Even though in the very early stages in the Fargo hospital he thought he might die. He received such good care at the U of M hospital and trusted he was in good hands.

The surgery was a success and he was discharged from the hospital 2/26/25. Justin has not been able to work since the beginning of February and won't be able to for awhile. ANY support will help him greatly during his recovery and is greatly appreciated.
