Words cannot describe how moving last Sunday’s Baptism Service was to me on a personal level. Seeing so many families rejoicing because their loved one has committed their life to Christ,
was a memory that will forever be in my heart.
Thank you, Rising Family, for being everything I hoped Church would be! The Holy Spirit was definitely in the place and spoke to us through the message titled: We’re Dying to Live!
The Spirit revealed that we were Baptized and Buried! Meaning, we are united with Christ in death by leaving our old life behind in the watery grave. We are also Raised, Redeemed, and Renewed! We come up out of that watery grave, a completely new creation.
We are committed to the Will of GOD above all other things. God is at the top spot in our life, and He is the priority!
Lastly, the Spirit taught us that we are Spirit-Filled! The road ahead for a newly committed believer is rough, but the Holy Spirit lives inside us, leading, guiding and empowering us to be pleasing to God.
Looking ahead to this Sunday, we return to our Back-to-Basics series in a message called: Why Are You Angry?!
Anger so often leads us astray. So many relationships have been
destroyed and so many acts of violence were the result of anger. Too often, we “see red” and the results that follow can be catastrophic. But when we begin to get angry, God asks us a simple question to help us get back on track. We will explore and examine God’s simple question to Cain after Cain became mad enough to K*ll.
