Crystal Hunting

Meeting at the car park before the trail up to the lighthouse


Scurdie Ness is home to volcanic rock which houses an abundance of minerals and crystals. Join us for a wander up to the lighthouse, starting off by meeting in the car park at 10am we’ll head along and jump down onto the rocks and have a look at what we can see!

Please note that this isn’t a tour; it’s a wee wander. I will however be able to tell you where to look for crystals and will be able to identify them for you. There is no time limit, stay however short or long you please - 2 hours is probably what I would suggest start to finish.

Feel free to bring a friend or two. The weather is set to be ok but I suggest sturdy shoes & a rain coat as showers are possible! Children welcome just please make sure you’re able to keep an eye on them due to being down on the rocks.

Please also note that we won’t be keeping any of the minerals we find, you’ll be able to find all the same stones all polished up and ready for use from Nemetona ✨
