Our 18th Season begins with a bang!
Poets, Spoken Word Artists, Vocalists! Think you’ve got the guts (and the rhymes) to own the stage for 60 explosive seconds? The 1-Minute MAD (poetry) SLAM is here—a high-stakes, no-holds-barred poetry showdown where every word counts, the clock is your enemy, and the crowd decides who reigns supreme. A celebration of linguistic precision and daring artistry that comes with a "Warning: Side effects may include sweating, screaming, and sudden fame!"
✨ Battle for glory earning both bragging rights and a feature spot at Inside Madpoetix Studios on October 19, 2025!✨ No frills, no filters—just raw, unfiltered verse. No props, no costumes, just you vs. the mic.✨ First time? Veteran? All voices welcome. Bring your A-game and leave the crowd breathless.
⚡ RULES OF THE RING:
✔ Original poems only (no covers, no exceptions!)
✔ 60 seconds flat—time starts the moment you engage the audience.
✖ No nudity, no props, no musical accompaniment—just pure poetic fire.
Judging: 5 Judges will be randomly selected from the audience and will be required to judge each spoken word artist individually on a scale from 0 to 10. The highest and lowest scores will be dropped, and then the average will be tallied up out of 30.
Up to 18 poets can compete in round 1. Only the top 5 poets will get into round 2! Poets, bring your friends, fans and family because they can sway the judges. Judges, do not be swayed by the audience!
We will have catering by: SNS Catering, prizes, surprises and more!
