Join us for the QWF Annual Picnic!
Come enjoy some afternoon nibbles and drinks in the company of your fellow writers on the terrace of la Grande Galerie at Teesri Duniya Theatre, in the complex la Cité-des-Hospitalières (same venue as last year’s picnic).
Light refreshments will be served, but feel free to bring your own food or drink. You’re also welcome to contribute a dish to the picnic (finger food only, please). There are picnic tables on the terrace, but you can also bring blankets or lawn chairs. There are gardens behind the terrace, which are walkable and open to the public.
The picnic is free for both QWF members and non-members, so feel free to bring your friends and family. Catch up with old friends, and make new ones!
The venue is covered, so the picnic will proceed rain or shine.

BOOK EXCHANGE
Looking for some new reading material? Take part in our book exchange! Bring a book—be it a personal favourite or one you wrote—and drop it off at the book-exchange table. We’ll invite participants to browse the table and grab a book midway through the picnic at 3:00 pm.

New to QWF? Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone—we have a Buddy System where new or prospective members can be paired with experienced members. Email

There are three steps leading to the space from inside the building, and six steps if coming from outside. If you have accessibility concerns, please contact Riley (

DIRECTIONS
From the southwestern entrance of La Cité-des-Hospitalières (251 avenue des Pins Ouest), go north past the parking lot. Enter the building on your right. Continue inside, and you’ll see the entrance to the picnic terrace on your left.
