Dans Zomia Garden, un prochain CCA Single, Lin retrace les chemins des chasseurs de plantes et des missionnaires européens et américains du début du XXe siècle, qui ont traversé le sud et le sud-ouest de la Chine à la recherche de trésors botaniques.
À travers cette exploration, Lin réimagine l’entreprise mondiale de la botanique et ses héritages durables. Traitant la botanique comme un terrain fertile où se cultivent les connaissances géographiques et les récits paysagers, Lin étudie les voyages de spécimens de plantes, de graines et de jeunes arbres. En suivant leur transport sur de vastes distances, Lin retrace les rencontres botaniques et culturelles imprévues entre leurs lieux d’origine et leurs nouvelles destinations.

In Zomia Garden, Lin’s upcoming CCA Single, they retrace the paths of early twentieth-century plant hunters and missionaries from Europe and the United States who journeyed through southern and southwestern China in search of botanical specimens.
Lin reimagines the global enterprise of botany and its enduring legacies through this exploration. Treating botany as a fertile ground where geographical knowledge and landscape narratives are cultivated, Lin investigates the journeys of plant specimens, seeds, and saplings. By following their movements across vast distances, Lin traces the unforeseen botanical and cultural encounters between their places of origin and their new destinations.
