Rejoignez l'artiste Peter Morin pour une performance dédiée à son chère amie Hannah Claus qui aura lieu dans la seine de son exposition « tsi iotnekahtentiónhatie (Tiohtià:ke) ». L’événement suivra par une réception dans la galerie et il clôturera la première journée du colloque Entre nos archipels dont Claus est membre du comité directeur et scientifique.
Peter Morin est le petit-fils d'artistes ancestraux·ales tahltan·e·s. Les œuvres artistiques de Morin peuvent être classées en quatre thèmes : l'expression de la terre/du savoir, l'expression du deuil/de la perte autochtones, l'expression du savoir communautaire et la compréhension de l'agence créative/du pouvoir du corps autochtone. Son travail se déroule dans des galeries, au sein de la communauté, en collaboration et sur le territoire. Toutes ses œuvres s'inspirent des rêves, des ancêtres, des membres de sa famille et de l'art de la performance comme méthode de recherche. Peter Morin occupe actuellement un poste permanent à la faculté des arts de l'Université de l’École de l'art et de design de l'Ontario à Toronto.

Join artist Peter Morin for a performance dedicated to his dear friend Hannah Claus which will take place in the heart of her exhibition "tsi iotnekahtentiónhatie (Tiohtià:ke)." Following the performance will be a reception in the gallery that colloses the first day of the colloquium "Entre nos archipels" for which Claus is a member of the governing and steering committee.
Peter Morin is a grandson of Tahltan Ancestor Artists. Morin’s artistic offerings can be organized around four themes: articulating Land/Knowing, articulating Indigenous Grief/Loss, articulating Community Knowing, and understanding the Creative Agency/Power of the Indigenous body. The work takes place in galleries, in community, in collaboration, and on the land. All of the work is informed by dreams, Ancestors, Family members, and Performance Art as a Research Methodology. Peter Morin currently holds a tenured appointment in the Faculty of Arts at the Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto.
