Level up your cooking game with delicious plant-based recipes and connect with community.
Melodie from meloandmills.com will guide you through the process, sharing tips and tricks to make plant-based meals easy and delicious.
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
In our first class, we’ll cover a few basics that are critical to plant based and low waste cooking. We will start with mastering the perfect pot of beans for delicious dips and legume rich meals. We will also make garlic confit which is a delicious flavour enhancer.
The class will enjoy a yummy snack break to enjoy a white bean and garlic confit dip with rapini.
Then we’ll tackle the protein power house: tofu! We’ll make tofu in three ways: shaved, shredded and scrambled. Melodie will cover the different textures and types and students will get to taste the differences.
The class will end with an assembly of the three tofu preparations added into sandwiches or salads to show how to incorporate this plant based protein into daily meals.
Students will leave with full bellies, recipes to take home and cooking charts. All food is included in the cost.
