Il y a 25 ans, une étude – désormais célèbre – a été publiée sur les vastes connaissances botaniques des Waorani, un peuple de l’Amazonie péruvienne. Cet héritage ancestral est aujourd’hui menacé, principalement en raison des coupes forestières et de l’exploitation pétrolière.

Twenty-five years ago, a now-famous study was published on the Waorani people’s extensive botanical knowledge. Today, their ancestral heritage is mainly threatened by the impact of logging and oil exploitation.
