Franco-Brazilian Flavia Coelho kicks off the 39th edition of the Festival international Nuits d'Afrique on July 9 with an exceptional concert at the Olympia in Montreal.
Breaking free from all stereotypes, the dazzling and elusive Flavia Coelho delivers vibrant melodies that shine with energy. Her hybrid universe, shaped between the streets of Rio and the outskirts of Paris, comes to life in her latest album Ginga (2024), a true manifesto of freedom and cultural fusion. Blending samba, bossa nova, forró, with touches of reggae, amapiano, G-funk, and house, she weaves a sunny, socially conscious sound that mirrors who she is: free-spirited, heartfelt, and powerful.
