“Deconstructing the figure of the dangerous im.migrant to challenge its criminalization”
Since Donald Trump took over the United States, we've witnessed an unprecedented upsurge in anti-immigration rhetoric in North America. The resulting ideological and security hardening is giving rise to a veritable regime of exception in terms of migratory control across the continent, which does not fail to reason beyond American borders.
In this political context marked by adversity and numerous violations of migrants' rights, the Observatory for Migrant Justice, in partnership with the Ligue des droits et libertés and TCRI, invite you to take part in a forum for analysis and reflection on this rhetoric, which constructs the figure of the dangerous migrant in order to trivialize his or her criminalization.
