23–29 June 2025, the World Carnival Commission, in partnership with the Global Carnivalz, will host Carnival Culture Unbound in Montreal, Canada — a week-long cultural summit like no other!
For the first time, we are bringing together:
🌍 Carnival leaders, artists and producers from across the African and Caribbean Diaspora
👑 African Kings, Queens and traditional elders with wisdom to share
🎤 Panels and symposiums on The Business of Carnival, cultural entrepreneurship, sustainability, and more
🎭 Performances, exhibitions and cultural showcases — from Junkanoo to steelpan to African masquerade
🤝 Networking, skill-sharing and community building across continents
This is not just a festival — it’s a powerful cultural reckoning, an international gathering of minds, makers, and movers of Carnival culture. We’ve already got countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas, Liberia confirmed.
