Piñata Pitch is a student-driven pitch competition designed for high school, CEGEP, and university students. Our mission is to spark curiosity and excitement about entrepreneurship among young minds in Montreal’s vibrant tech scene.
Piñata Pitch consists of three competitive rounds. The first round involves teams submitting applications, which are reviewed and vetted by our team. The second round is an online pitch competition judged by a panel of 5 judges, who will select the finalists. The final round is a live, in-person pitch competition where a panel of 3 judges selects the winner.
Three esteemed judges will gather at the venue to evaluate the five finalist teams. Each team will have 5 minutes to present followed by 3–5 minutes of Q&A. The judges will then select the top 3 teams and crown the winner.
The winning team will receive $10,000 in funding to support their business idea as well as a Celebratory Pinãta that they must break on stage.
Additionally, we hope to offer the top 3 teams, including the winner, additional prizes generously provided by our partners.
