Sandy attends Rydell High for the first time, not realizing that it's Danny's home turf. Danny, a greaser, is embarrassed by his relationship with clean-cut Sandy and doesn't want his friends to know. Meanwhile, the Pink Ladies decide they like Sandy and take her under their wing. And it turns out that Sandy and Danny still have feelings for each other. When Danny told Sandy the previous summer that their love story was only just beginning, it turns out he wasn't kidding.
