Shining Bright in a Secular Age – A Church for the 21st Century

Decline, loss of influence, distrust, an uncertain future. These are among the concerns of many church leaders, especially as they try to do ministry among people who seem not to need a God. The philosopher Charles Taylor has famously called our age “secular.” What are the features of this secular age that either inhibit or foster a faithful Christian witness? How does the institution of the church shine once again like a beacon on a hill? How can individual Christians faithfully share the Gospel in a culture that often considers us irrelevant? This workshop/seminar will explore these questions and help you to discover a renewed hope in the possibilities of bringing the Good News to people in our secular age.
