Join our community of artists, students, and community members for Belonging: Art Connects Community, a benefit for the Vincent Price Art Museum, happening on Thursday, September 18, at 6:00 PM at the Courtyard Los Angeles in Monterey Park. The unforgettable evening will feature a curated silent art auction, inspiring performances, and visionary honorees.
Hosted by the esteemed Dan Guerrero this special evening includes:
๐ท A delicious three-course dinner and libations in the Crystal Ballroom.
๐ค Soulful performances by Nancy Sanchez and Darlene Perez of Las Chorizeras and talented ELAC student musicians, and a headlining set by acclaimed musician and activist MILCK.
We will honor three extraordinary individuals who amplify local voices:
๐ Armando Duron, art collector and cultural advocate - Vincent and Mary Price Legacy Award
๐ Jim Uyekawa, art department ELAC faculty - Victor Para Community Award
๐ Ofelia Esparza, renowned artist and altarista - Tom Silliman Vanguard Award (Ofelia will be featured in an upcoming major retrospective at VPAM this fall!)
Our celebration also includes a one-night-only in-person presentation of our silent art auction, featuring works generously donated by nearly 50 outstanding local artists. Bidding will take place online via ARTSY. Stay tuned for details and a full artist list! ๐จ Auction will open September 1. ๐จ
Every ticket purchased and donation made directly supports exhibitions, mentorship for emerging artists, and free cultural programs for East LA and the San Gabriel Valley.
