Olmsted Oak Bench Dedication

Join Friends of Anderson Park fin dedicating the newly installed Olmsted Oak Bench in this Essex County park in Montclair. A bit of cake, a bit of music, a puppet show and a lot of love for our new bench!

The park's Olmsted Oak, estimated to be 175 years old, fell in a fierce storm last August. Now this white oak is back in the park, in the form of a sculptural bench created by Montclair artist Charlie Spademan and commissioned by park neighbors Bob and Rhonda Silver.

Gather just south of the park’s northeast entrance, 274 Bellevue Avenue, Montclair. The dedication will be Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m. (Raindate: June 8, same time). Check the Friends of Anderson Park Facebook page for weather updates or call (973) 477-7207. FriendsofAndersonPark.com.
