Our Strauss CommUNITY Dance Workshops are back and better than ever! This year, we're offering three levels of classes so you can take the classes that best match your skill level. Our Foundations classes are open to ALL SKILL LEVELS.
Join instructor Kelsea McCrary for a series of classes that focuses on foundational technique to enhance your skills and refine your turns, jumps, footwork, and more. Each week will hone in on a certain ability area, incorporating vocabulary, center floor and across the floor combinations to grow every dancer's confidence in movement. The classes are designed to build on each other, as dancers progress through skills. With upbeat combinations and a welcoming atmosphere, these classes are for dancers of all levels that have a willingness to try and a love for moving to music! The skills that you'll work on are a perfect complement to the advanced/intermediate jazz workshop, so come ready to challenge yourself and build a strong foundation.
Classes will begin with a warm-up that incorporates flexibility, musicality, and an overview of the highlighted choreography that dancers will learn.
