Our Strauss CommUNITY Dance Workshops are back and better than ever! This year, we're offering three levels of classes so you can take the classes that best match your skill level. This series is set for those at an INTERMEDIATE dance level.
Join instructor Megan Wilkins for a series of intermediate dance classes built upon foundational skills and incorporating choreography that requires dancers to pick up steps quickly and execute them with precision.
Class Dates and Times:
Sunday July 27th 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday July 30th 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday August 23rd 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday August 30th 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
* MEET THE EXPERT *
MEGAN WILKINS is no stranger to the theatre world. She has choreographed numerous shows at Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts, Strauss Mainstage, the Princess Theatre, and Ruston Community Theatre. She started dance when she was 4 and danced for 14 years. She was a cheerleader in high school and college and a member of an Arena Football Dance Team. She also coached a high school dance team for 2 years. Her work on the Strauss stage has earned her several Christopher nominations and awards.
Programs of Strauss Theatre Center are supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council. Funding has also been provided by the National Endowment of the Arts, ArtWorks.
