The Seattle 48 Hour Film Project is an annual competition where filmmakers create a short film in just 48 hours. Celebrating it’s 20th year in 2025, this event fosters creativity and community among Washington’s vibrant filmmaking talent.
Participants draw a genre from a hat, and must incorporate specific elements such as a character, prop, and line of dialogue into their films. The resulting short films are screened at SIFF Cinema Uptown, with the top film advancing to Filmapalooza 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal, and a chance to be featured at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. Join us on 7/21, 7/22 & 7/23, for 3 days of screenings full of creativity and cinematic magic!
