Children's Planting Workshop at the Alt Nature Center
Come join us for a fun and educational experience at our Children's Planting Workshop! Kids will learn all about planting and caring for their own plants while interacting with other nature enthusiasts. The workshop will be held at the Alt Nature Center located at 2489 Whitehaven Road on Grand Island. Each child will receive a free native plant and trowel and will learn how to plant and garden to benefit wildlife and habitats. An appreciation for nature is most meaningful and enduring when it starts at a young age… participate in an event that encourages children to think about how they can benefit plants and animals!
The event is free but space is limited to the first 40 children registering as we will have a limited number of plants and tools. Although parents or guardians are expected to attend, they are not required to register.
