This is a 2 session class.
Exploratory Calligraphy, the art of fancy writing.
Come explore the Art of Elegant Writing & ink design with artist and National Board Certified Art Educator, Gretchen Goldsmith. Participants will engage in fun activities such as Old English Lettering, pen & ink wash using a variety of calligraphy tools & techniques to be applied in variety of applications. No experience necessary!
Session 1: How-to foundation of calligraphy, experimentation & fun.
Session 2: Practice, play, apply learned skills to create art works using learned skills. Lettering & designs practices may be applied to making bookmark, card, shirt calligraphy quote on paper.
Instructor bio:
Gretchen Goldsmith lives & creates art in Moab. Her works have been displayed in Moab, DC, Maryland, Texas & New York. Gretchen is passionate about making art & sharing her expertise with artists young & old.
