Explore the ancient art of turning fiber into fabric. In this feltmaking series we will dive into several wet and needle felting techniques. Participants will leave this workshop with several completed projects and enough knowledge to be able to continue felting on their own.
At the end of this class we will host a reception at the Moab Arts Center (the MARC) where students will be able to admire their work and look back on all that they have learned over the 8 week series. This culminating event will be open to the public and we hope that you invite your families and friends to share what you have made! Light refreshments will be provided by Moab Arts staff. Date TBD.
This class is an eight week series. Workshops will be held 4:30-7:30pm on Tuesday evenings starting January 6 running through the end of February. This class will be a sequential training series that progressively builds skills throughout the winter. We know that plans change, but it is important that you attend all of the classes. If you know that you will not be able to make 2 or more sessions please reach out to our staff before signing up. All materials will be provided.

Instructor Bio:
Rosie Boone is a felt maker living in Old La Sal, Utah. She, along with her sister, owns Desert Thread Yarn Shop & Fiber Arts Gallery in downtown Moab.
This class is largely funded by the Utah Division of Arts and Museums and is intended to primarily serve adults 55 and older. If you are under 55 and would like to participate in this class please reach out to Moab Arts staff.
