Three days at Canyonlands National Park where we will practice sunset and night sky photography and editing.

‍Join us for an unforgettable experience under the stars at Canyonlands National Park, where the vast, rugged landscape meets the breathtaking beauty of the night sky. Over the course of three evenings we will capture sunsets, pinpoint stars, and the Milky Way Galaxy.

‍This course begins with an online lecture where you'll learn the fundamentals of night sky photography, including camera settings, long exposure techniques, noise management and managing dynamic range. Then we will meet at Canyonlands National Park for three days of photography. During the days we will meet for editing sessions so we can create the best end result image.

‍The goal is a long weekend full of fun shooting events. We will prioritize sunset and night sky photography, but we will also have time for a few easier hikes in the mornings. During the days we will have sessions on image editing and image review. So students should bring a laptop as well as a camera.
