Summer Teen Art Project (TAP) 2025: Exploring Montana’s Keystone Species Through Art
June 17 – August 7, 2025 | Missoula, MT
Calling all creative teens! This summer, join the Summer Teen Art Project (TAP) 2025 and help design and paint a 14’x10’ public mural in downtown Missoula that celebrates Montana’s keystone species—bison, beavers, and prairie dogs. Through hands-on workshops, field-based learning, and collaboration with professional artists and scientists, participants will explore how these species sustain healthy ecosystems and inspire vibrant community art.
Led by artists Joanna Laporte and Janaína Vieira-Marques, TAP offers high school students (ages 13–18) a unique opportunity to build artistic skills, engage with ecological themes, and create meaningful public artwork. The completed mural will be unveiled at a community celebration and featured at the Adventure Cycling Association, with 500 posters distributed across Missoula.
Apply now—only 20 spots available!
This free program is open to all teens and includes mentorship, art-making, and a chance to make a visible impact on your community.
