About the Author: Gregory Pence, one of the founders of Bioethics, has taught for 50 years at the medical school in Birmingham, Alabama. The author of 20 books and 70 op-eds in major periodicals, his textbook Medical Ethics has sold over 100, copies. In 2000, he testified before Congress against making embryonic and reproductive cloning federal crimes.

About the Book: Covid killed more people in America per capita than in any other developed country, 1.1 million, but America also suffered another 400,000 excess deaths. How many of these deaths could have been prevented by alternative approaches? Were approaches such as Harm Reduction fully utilized? Did K-12 schools really need to be closed for so many years? Why did Sweden have so few deaths while keeping its schools open? Despite having the same populations, why did Florida do so much better than New York? What lasting changes did Covid create in our culture?
