Lily Kip Portrait Workshop

Learn how to paint portraits from Lily Kip, a talented local artist! In this two-hour workshop, you'll transform a photo of a friend, family member, or other loved one into a small-scale, colorful painting. $45/per person, limited to 12 students.

Learn how to proportionately replicate images using a grid-transfer method and to accurately render likeness. We will also cover some basic color theory and mixing, and explore impressionist techniques!

*This workshop focuses on acrylic paint, with all paints and materials provided by the ZACC.

Lily Kip is a figurative oil painter completing her MFA at the University of Montana. A lifelong lover of both art and literature, her current work engages expressive painting and broken visual narratives to express split-second interpersonal interactions. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Bates College in Maine and is now completing a Master's of Fine Arts at the University of Montana.
