Evening at the Res

You’re invited to a special open house celebration at the Mishawaka Res Nature Preserve, located at 3950 Scout Ln. in Mishawaka. This free, family-friendly event is a chance to experience the newly revitalized preserve and enjoy an evening of music, nature, and community connection. Among the many features being showcased is an impressive outdoor stage—designed and built by Life Scout Daniel Williams as part of his Eagle Scout project—which now serves as a centerpiece for performances and gatherings at the preserve. Also featured is the newly completed pedestrian footbridge, constructed by a Reserve Marine Combat Battalion crew, enhancing access to the preserve’s trail system and adding to the site’s natural beauty.

Guests can enjoy live music by the band Dirty Details, face painting for kids, and delicious food from Memo’s Mexican food truck. You’re welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs for comfort, though seating is also available in the amphitheater. This event celebrates the power of community, service, and local conservation efforts—all set in one of Mishawaka’s most beautiful natural spaces.
