Join us as the City of Miramar celebrates a significant milestone on its journey toward a more inclusive and accessible community!
On Monday, May 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM, we invite you to gather at Henry D. Perry Park for the official unveiling of 10 new communication boards installed throughout Miramar's parks. These boards, made possible through a generous donation from the Florida Blue Foundation and installed with funding from Economic Development with On-going Community Engagement (E.D.G.E.), are a critical tool to support nonverbal individuals or those who may need help expressing their needs. These communication boards have been strategically placed in nine park locations across the city, reflecting Miramar’s commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and community wellbeing.
At this event, Miramar will also proudly receive its official designation as an Autism-Friendly City from the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (CARD) marking a proud moment in our city’s history and highlighting our dedication to supporting all residents, including those with autism and related disabilities.
Also check out other Nonprofit events in Miramar.
Tickets for Autism Designation can be booked here.
