Time Room, American Cream Band, Fend

Time Room is an art punk/garage rock trio hailing from Minneapolis. Led by vocalist/guitarist Ben Richer, Time Room’s sound blends heavy riffs, hardcore tempos, and danceable rhythms - like Television meets Minor Threat in the green room of a Rush concert. Their debut album, Something New, is available now.

American Cream Band is a love letter to existence posted as the Universe's yelp review. A walk in the garden blanketed in discarded whippet canisters. Melodies act as lonely pieces of plastic scanning the ocean in search of the floating islands where all their friends are at. Eternal trash that longs to be useful again. Dracula's cape is a Dasani label.

Fend is trying to tell you something. It might be a secret, it might be familiar wisdom. It could even be everything. The Minneapolis quartet, featuring guitarist/vocalist Josie Villano, guitarist John O’Brien, bassist/vocalist Kate Malanaphy, and drummer Abe Anderson, has covered miles of ground over two EPs and two years. Songs are about cats, but they’re also about rising to the love we receive and overcoming the fear that we’re undeserving. Songs are about partners and friends and whiskey-free Cokes, but they’re also about breaking through the suffocating ice of time’s passage and breathing in the frozen air — alive, questioning, and smiling despite it.
