Join us for a meaningful and supportive gathering designed for Ukrainian parents and caregivers.
This free community workshop will focus on how to emotionally support children who have experienced the trauma of war and forced displacement. The event is hosted by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, in partnership with Refugee Services and the Ukrainian American Community Center.
💬 Key Highlights:
• A conversation with Dr. Janice Cohn, licensed therapist and acclaimed author of children’s books on trauma, loss, and emotional healing. Dr. Cohn will share practical strategies to help children navigate stress, transition, and the emotional challenges of displacement.
• A safe, welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with other parents.
• A special presentation of the children’s book Freedom Pancakes for Ukraine.
• Ukrainian interpretation will be provided.
Whether you’re new to Minnesota or have been here for some time, this workshop offers an opportunity to gain tools, insights, and community support as you guide your children through healing and adaptation.
