Music in the Parks: Olsen-Gillman Band

Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music.

This week at Minnehaha Falls Regional Park we are hosting the Olsen-Gillman Band, a rock group. The Olsen-Gillman Band plays a variety of rock, blues, country and Americana music. We play the familiar classics as well as an eclectic and danceable song mix. Band members have played in bands for years and are also currently involved with other music projects. Doug (Blues Dad) Hanson-Bass and vocals. Doug has been in multiple bands including Blazer, Hanson Blues Trio with sons Jake and Jeremy, Wilbur Cole & Friends and is currently in Good Time Willy Blues.
Anthony Orlando-Lead guitar and vocals. Anthony has also been in Three on a Match and is currently the bass player in the Jeff Gavin Band. Beth Gillman-Lead vocals and percussion-Beth has been the lead singer for Mel's Party, Moonstone Fever, and was the lead singer for Denny and the Dawgs for 12 years. She is also in Two Peace Suite, https://www.facebook.com/twopeacesuite/, an acoustic duo that performs regularly in the area. Denny Olsen-Drums and vocals-Denny has been in various bands, including Moonstone Fever, JCT Street, and Denny and the Dawgs. He is the other half of Two Peace Suite with Beth.
