Jaspar Lepak writes poetic, feminist folk songs that are “always evocative” (Mostly Minnesota). With a pure voice drawing comparisons to Kate Wolf and Nanci Griffith, her music reflects the many places she’s called home—Tucson, Durban, Seattle, and now Minneapolis. Her 2024 album So Strong debuted at #6 on the Folk Radio Chart, following her 2021 Top 10 release Desert Ghosts. Inspired by Roe’s overturning, personal loss, and motherhood, So Strong is a deeply honest, timely album that’s “comforting and charmingly unpretentious” (89.3 The Current).

Zippy Laske (she/her) is a multi-genre singer/songwriter known for her bright voice and playful melodies. Zippy’s pop-oriented EP is set to release this summer. Producer and violinist D.G.S Sutton (they/them) brings Zippy’s whimsical writing style to life with their unique string arrangements and high-energy synth-infused production style. You can find Zippy regularly contributing music to the popular Twin Cities live podcast Island of Discarded Women at Crooner’s Supper Club.
