International shuffleboard champions and longtime musical collaborators David Huckfelt & J.T. Bates have been slow-roasting grooves and turning phrases since your favorite website MySpace launched back in August of 2003. Reformed musical fundamentalists with a healthy distrust of lack of authority, a lot of folks haven't been asking what these two aging comrades are up to in this the Chinese year of the American Snake, but brand new old music is in the proverbial can and on the way to release in the near future. Whatever the opposite of phoning it in is, Bates & Huckfelt will be so-doing in this intimate, improvised, confessional interrogation at Icehouse's new Starlight Room for a night of one-offs and hot takes. Not to be missed.
