The beautiful Oscar-winning family film Flow (Cert U) comes to the big screen at the Minehead Regal for a special matinée performance on Saturday May 10 at 4pm.

Flow follows a courageous cat on a wondrous journey through realms natural and mystical after his home is devastated by a great flood. Teaming up with a capybara, a lemur, a bird and a dog to navigate a boat in search of dry land, they must rely on trust, courage and wits to survive the perils of a newly aquatic planet.

Flow is a thrilling animated spectacle as well as a profound meditation on the fragility of the environment and the spirit of friendship and community. Steeped in the soaring possibilities of visual storytelling, Flow is a feast for the senses and a treasure for the heart.

The film won this year’s Oscar for best animated feature film, and was also nominated for the BAFTA for best children’s and family film as well as best animated feature film, among many other international awards.

Tickets for the film cost £6 (£4 Regal Film Society members/Students/Under14s/ES40s) and may be booked in advance online and at the Regal box office (Tel 01643 706430) between 9.30am and 12pm. The Regal bar will be open for refreshments from 3.30pm.
