WPMC is proud to welcome Tracktion Driving Experiences as the new sponsor of our regular Track Schools, starting with our midwinter edition from 9:00am to 1:30pm on Saturday 5 July.
Tracktion will be providing experienced driving instructors to assist all participants, no matter what you drive. You’ll find enthusiasts at our track schools in all types of cars from hatchbacks to hot rods, chatting with the instructors and then putting their advice into practice during the next track session.
And between sessions there are always cold soft drinks, delicious snacks and the best coffee in Cape Town at the Joubert Pits Lounge overlooking the main straight.
The cost for drivers is R640 for Western Province Motor Club members and R800 for non-members, while the cost for passengers is R240 each, whether or not they are Club members.
And, for the first time at a Track School, passengers will be able to get a taste of real race pace in a Tracktion Driving Experiences race car; Tracktion will be offering passenger rides throughout the morning at a cost of R220 per person.
Pre-booking is recommended for both drivers and passengers to avoid long queues and rushed paperwork. Please remember that all drivers and passengers must wear long sleeved tops, long pants and closed shoes. Crash helmets are compulsory; if you don’t have a crash helmet, they’re available for rent on the day at R100 per helmet.
You may bring as many ‘crew members’ as you wish, and you’re all welcome to walk across the bridge to the Joubert Pits Lounge, with superb elevated views of the circuit - and an overview of the children’s play area right next door, so you can watch your junior team members having fun.
