> Introduction to Printmaking Workshops 2025
> Linocut - Saturday 10th May 2025, 10am - 3pm
With Claudia Long & Claire Waller
Linocut is a relief printmaking technique where a design is cut into a linoleum surface with sharp knives, chisels and gouges. You’ll have the opportunity to create and transfer a design, cut and ink your plate to create a series of prints. You can also experiment with Chine Collé, learning how to use fine papers to bring colour and texture into your prints.

> Geli plate - Saturday 31st May 2025 10am - 12pm
With Jess Levine
This workshop enables participants to make one off, abstract prints without the use of a press. Using a geli plate, acrylic paint and a selection of natural and manmade materials, the technique encourages a loose and painterly approach with unexpected results.
The geli plate is inked up with acrylic paint on to which textures are laid. Printing the negative space where paint is exposed, and then removing the textured items to print the impressions left in wet paint gives immediate and exciting layers and depths. Adding different colours and textures allows participants to discover spontaneity and playfulness.

> Drypoint with Chine Collé - Saturday 7th June 2025, 10am - 3pm
With Vicky Peake
Drypoint is an intaglio printmaking technique, where lines and textures are incised into a plate creating a burr that captures the ink to make a soft velvety line. Colour can be added to the plate using fine coloured papers, a technique known as Chine Colle. Using clear drypoint plastic, you’ll experiment with mark making, using a range of tools and techniques and learn how to prepare a plate, transfer an image, soak paper and ink and wipe your plate to create a unique series of prints.

> Collagraph - Saturday 21st June 2025, 10am - 3pm
With Clare Dent
Collagraph is a textural printmaking technique where collaged materials are applied to a cardboard plate. You will have the chance to experiment with a variety of everyday materials, textures and colours to create at least one plate. You will then learn how to ink and wipe the plate and soak paper to create a series of interesting and detailed prints.
