Saturday 21st June, Duddon Sports and Social Club in Askam-in-Furness will be hosting their first Grand Slam of Darts.
£15 Entry – Paid up front to Guarantee your place, Once the 48 places are gone, we will then have a reserve list.
As of writing over £1000 Prize pot.
The Format will be as follows –
- There will be 6 players on each of 8 Boards.
- Your board is your group.
- It will be Randomly drawn to determine who you will be playing against.
- Draw completed before the Event and recorded.
- You play the 5 others from your group, with the top 2 progressing to the last 16.
- Order of Play will already be determined once the draw has taken place.
- Draw will be, for example
o 1st Player out – Player A on Board 1
o 2nd – Player A Board 2 etc.…
o 9th Player will become Player B on Board 1 and so on until all boards/groups have been completed.
- When not playing you will be allocated when to mark. The organisers will have copies of these but will also be playing so we are relying on the 6 players to progress the matches smoothly.
- 501 Straight Off – Up to 4 Legs per Match.
- Group Points are allocated as follows
o 3 – 0 Straight win - 4 points
o 3 - 1 Win - 3 Points
o 2 – 2 Draw – 2 Points
o 1 – 3 Loss – 1 Point
o 0 – 3 Loss – 0 Points
- If A Player goes 3 nil up, the Match is ended.
- Toss for Bull, Bull up, Closest player gets to choose to throw in legs 1 & 3 or 2 & 4.
- Bust Rule Applies.
- Groups are decided on:-
o Points Total.
o Leg Difference.
o Head to Head.
o Legs For.
- If all these are still Level, One Leg Shootout between 2 players, if more than 2 are level it will be determined by committee decision on the day i.e. 9 Dart Shootout.
- Boards for the Knock Out stage will be randomly assigned.
- Depending on Time, Best of Legs for the Knockout Rounds will be decided on the day.
Payments can be made in Cash to an Event Organiser (Simon Garnett, Karl Twiname & Tommy Richardson) or can be sent once confirmed you have a place.
