This exciting trio met at Temple University, where they found a shared passion for jazz music. Together, they create a musical landscape both sensitive and powerful; balancing familiar sounds of their musical predecessors with uncharted explorations, and they blend razor-accurate control with complete freedom of expression. Their repertoire extends from well-known jazz standards, to long-forgotten gems, to their very own compositions.
Huck Tritsch is a jazz drummer and multi-instrumentalist who got his start playing classical violin and traditional oldtime fiddle music, but picked up drums soon after. He found a passion for jazz music studying under local legend Kevin Sims. While in high school, he participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Jazz Festival, and was recognized as a winner of the prestigious YoungArts National Competition in Jazz Percussion. He is continuing his studies of jazz percussion at Temple University under the direction of renown trumpeter/educator Terrel Stafford.
Roman Wyatt is a pianist currently studying at Temple University. He first sat down at the piano at age 10 to learn the Pirates of the Caribbean theme by ear, and that spark quickly led to an obsession with classical repertoire—learned entirely by ear. Over time, his curiosity turned toward improvisation, which eventually became his primary focus. After attending a jazz camp at Messiah University—where he met members of the Temple jazz faculty—he decided to pursue his studies there. His current primary influences include Art Tatum, Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell, and Keith Jarrett.
Myles Wilson is a jazz bassist based in Philadelphia. He previously attended the Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts, where he majored in jazz and gained experience playing bass in ensembles of various sizes. As a member of the school’s top jazz big band he was awarded multiple downbeat awards. With this big band he played twice in concert with Jeff Hamilton, and traveled to New Orleans and Buffalo, New York. The LVA jazz program also gave him the opportunity to play in concert with world renowned saxophonist and arranger Tom Scott and legendary jazz pianist Bill Cunliffe.
