Suicide Prevention: You Can Save a Life!

This suicide prevention training is for everyone 18+: gatekeepers, peer supporters, case managers, clergy, mental health advocates, and anyone that wants to be prepared when a friend or loved one is in a crisis. Professionals are welcome, but continuing education is not provided.

This training is free but pre-registration is required.

Registration starts at 10 am with a morning session focusing on CALM conversations. Calm is a practical intervention to increase the time and distance between individuals at risk of suicide and the most common and lethal methods of suicide, particularly firearms.

Lunch will be provided by Rodhe's IGA.

The afternoon session will focus on QPR. Question, Persuade, and Refer - the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. This session will be followed by a panel of professionals for questions and conversations. The day will wrap up around 3 pm.
