"Sourdough Bread Basics" w/ Joanne Enders

The MAAA invites you to join our member Joanne Enders, as she instructs you on how to make delicious sourdough bread!

Joanne will discuss the nutritional benefits of eating sourdough bread, and give you tips on why yours may not have risen or been baked properly.

She will also include information about baking gluten-free sourdough bread!

To get you started at home, Joanne will have a generous take-home package for you that includes:
* sourdough starter
* a jar and elastic band for your starter
* a temperature strip
* a spatula
* an instruction packet
* recipes for a variety of sourdough bread

But that’s not all! Joanne will have a variety of sourdough breads for you to sample, so you can taste the difference in recipes for yourself!

As an added bonus, students can join Joanne’s Sourdough Facebook Group to receive recipes and support after the class is over.

Your registration fee covers everything. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

This class is held in the upstairs classroom at the Gallery on the Square. Financial assistance from the Jared Sheaffer Scholarship Fund is available for school students if needed. Message or email the Gallery for information.
