October "Artist of the Month" / Adelaide Fuhrman

Addie has been sewing since the age of eight. Her mother and both of her grandmothers were sewers, so she had many teachers and helpers, if needed.

While growing up, Addie made a lot of her own school clothes.
In addidtion, she has sewn everything from hot pads, table runners and table toppers, to Barbie doll clothes, and quilts in many sizes..

Addie shares: “I dream of designs and draw them out when I awake. I also take paper and colored pencils everywhere I go so I can make more designs”. Addie says she is still learning, even though she is retired.

Addie is a member of the Millersburg Area Art Association and is a Gallery on the Square volunteer.
