Mt. Tamalpais Traditional Summer Solstice Medicine Wheel Ceremony

The Medicine Wheel is an ancient, powerful navigational way of life employed by Indigenous peoples throughout the world for health and healing.

We will initially meet at the Whole Foods on Miller Ave in Mill Valley, then caravan together to assemble atop Mt. Tamalpais, the Sacred mountain of the Coastal Miwok, Pomo and Ohlone Nations for a Ceremony to create a Medicine Wheel (Sacred Hoop of Life) in honour and celebration of the seasonal shifts and thresholds and to Pray for All of Our Relations. Everyone is welcome.

Reciprocity: Respectful donations are requested and appreciated, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

What to Bring:

• Water
• Healthy food to share for the feast

Because we will be sitting together in ceremony, the following appropriate attire is required:

• Women: Please wear ankle length skirts/dresses and shirts with sleeves that cover the shoulders.
• Men: Please wear pants and a shirt with sleeves that cover the shoulders.
• Non-Binary: Please wear a sarong over shorts/pants and a shirt with sleeves that cover the shoulders on site.
