Nel 2082 un nuovo “imperatore” emerge dalle rovine di un’Italia devastata.Tra visioni distopiche e riflessi anni ’80, prende forma una satira retrofuturista che mescola potere, decadenza e mito.
In 2082, a new “emperor” rises from the ruins of a devastated Italy.Between dystopian visions and echoes of the ’80s, a retrofuturist satire takes shape, blending power, decay, and myth.

CALIGVLA 2082 è un progetto narrativo e performativo ispirato alla letteratura distopica e all’immaginario cyberpunk. Con una vena satirica esplicita, racconta l’ascesa di un demagogo nell’Italia del 2082: un Paese devastato dal cambiamento climatico e spartito da corrotti populisti provenienti da ogni parte del mondo. Per trasporre questo mondo finzionale in un’esperienza dal vivo, l’ideatore incarna il nascente “imperatore” di questa Italia in rovina. Il personaggio e l'intero progetto si contaminano di simboli tipici degli anni ’80 in una parodia che omaggia quell’epoca opulenta, vista erroneamente come età dell’oro. Un riferimento ingannevole, poiché proprio in quegli anni si sarebbero gettate le basi della crisi che un secolo dopo travolge il Bel Paese.

CALIGVLA 2082 is a narrative and performative project inspired by dystopian literature and the cyberpunk imaginary.With an explicit satirical vein, it tells the rise of a demagogue in Italy in the year 2082: a country devastated by climate change and divided among corrupt populists from all over the world.

To transpose this fictional world into a live experience, the creator embodies the emerging “emperor” of this ruined Italy. The character and CALIGVLA 2082 project are contaminated with symbols typical of the 1980s, in a parody that pays homage to that opulent era, mistakenly seen as a golden age. Yet it is a misleading reference, since those very years laid the foundations of the crisis that, a century later, engulfs the Bel Paese.
