In a world that thrives on your exhaustion and profits from your burnout, rest becomes a form of resistance. We’re taught that slowing down is lazy, that rest must be earned – but the truth is, rest is a fundamental part of being human.
You are not only allowed to rest, it is essential to your well-being. When we push ourselves beyond our limits, physically, mentally, or emotionally, our bodies eventually push back. If we don’t make time for rest, our bodies will choose it for us – often in the form of illness, burnout, or breakdown.
It’s time for a quiet rebellion. Join Mel for a two-hour immersion into deep rest and replenishment.
*What to expect*
We’ll begin with gentle, floor-based movement designed to ease you into stillness, reconnecting you with your body through slow repetition and intuitive exploration.
From there, we’ll move into an hour of Restorative Yoga. Supported by props and long-held postures (10-15 minutes each), your body will be invited to fully let go, soften, and settle into deep calm.
We’ll close with a guided Yoga Nidra practice, sometimes called “yogic sleep” or “non-sleep deep rest”. This guided meditation will lead you to a liminal space between wakefulness and sleep, where profound restoration and integration can occur.
You’ll leave feeling grounded, nourished, and deeply rested.
